We talk about the importance of the event for the region, the impact on tourism and sustainability. We find out more about the construction of trails, the fascination of mountain biking and look ahead to next year's Mountain Bike World Championships in Valais.
Podcast #1 The event program and the volunteers with Joel Stucky and Richard Kuonen
Joel Stucky is Product Manager Outdoor Bike in the Aletsch Arena and Project Manager of the UCI Mountain Bike Enduro World Cup. He says: "The anticipation is huge. It is a great honour for us to organize this event. We have a great team and hope that it will be a success."
Richard Kuonen is responsible for the volunteers in the team. He is talking about 580 volunteers in the race area and a further 120 volunteers in the media and communications area as well as at the Fiesch event hub that will be needed. "Every helping hand is needed."
